Living with Wildlife in Willowbrook
Willowbrook is truly a sanctuary along the Front Range—
providing a safe space for wildlife to live and raise their young.
We regularly see Mule Deer, Bears, Coyotes, Bobcats, Foxes, Racoons,
and occasionally Mountain Lions and Elk. Some are full-time residents,
while others are on their annual seasonal migration through the neighborhood.
In these pages you will find educational materials including:
-
How to live in harmony with wildlife. Protecting your home, children and pets, at the same time, respecting our Wild Neighbors’ natural behaviors and their habitats.
-
Landscaping for pollinators, wildlife habitats, native plants, and water conservation, including practical tips for your home and yard.

Our unique ecosystem here in Willowbrook. We are fortunate to have an incredible amount of biodiversity in our neighborhood. Forests, grassland/prairie, high plains desert, and wetlands can all be found here—literally in our own backyard!
Wildlife is, by nature, WILD! Although many animals living in Willowbrook seem calm and friendly, they are not domesticated and should never be fed or approached. Please refer to the Colorado Parks & Wildlife brochures in this section for Living With Wildlife.
